The Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) calls for equality and stands for the rights of the disabled in the workplace. In 2004, the DDA set out a requirement for reasonable adjustments to be made to buildings to remove obstacles and provide easier access. Also mentioned are provisions of auxiliary aids, appropriate training and instructions.

These Disability Assistance signs can act as part of the training and instructions. They include design principles from ISO 3864 Part 1 and are manufactured on Jalite AAA photoluminescent. Signs will illuminate immediately in a power loss, a requirement mentioned in the Health and Safety (Safety Signs and Signals) Regulations.

The Jalite brand is synonymous with conformance and is globally renowned for its strict approach to the process of development of safety signs and products. This design process involves active continuous research, with conformance to relevant International and Domestic Standards.
